A joke is something said or done to provoke laughter or cause amusement.
People who crack jokes for the purpose of entertainment are called comedians.
The audience may laugh but it is not always you might have tickled their bones.
They may laugh at your jokes,laugh with you or simply laugh at you.Sometimes people also like laughing at themselves.
Comedy is serious business and it is not for jokers.In tragedy there is comedy.
It is a breach of the comedians code of ethic for a person who purports to be a comedian to elicit sympathy laugh from the audience.
A comedian is never desperate.He is not callous and stupid.He is not an idiot.Anyone who manages to provoke laughter genuinely deserves a pat in the back for laughter is still the best medicine.
However,you do not need to be a comedian to make people laugh.With confidence you can make people happy.Even a smile earns a smile.
